Refactoring Elton John: Tiny Savior

Merry Christmas! To celebrate the miraculous Virgin birth of Christ, I have rewritten Elton John's Tiny Dancer and styled it using the viewpoint of Mary. Christ is born! Alleluia!

The Nativity, by Gerard van Honthorst (1590-1656)
Dedicated to my loving wife.
New born Baby, blue clothed lady, Virgin who knew not man
Prophesied, fulfillment night, kings travel from far off lands
Ave Maria, gratia plenia, daughter of Zion
And now He's from me, always with me, Tiny Savior in my hand.

Jesus breathes out from the sheets
Divine and human, Son of God
Thinking 'bout His humble start
Keeping all these things in my heart.

Shepherding men, their flock they strand
To praise near the sold out inn
Looking on angels sing the song:
"Gloria in altissimis Deo."

But oh pierced my soul shall be
And thoughts of many hearts revealed
Only You and You can save me
You are so holy lowly.

Hold me closer Tiny Savior
Count the twilights on the manger
Lay you down in sheets of linen
O Israel, your salvation's today.

New born Baby, blue clothed lady, Virgin who knew not man
Prophesied, fulfillment night, kings travel from far off lands
Ave Maria, gratia plenia, daughter of Zion
And now He's from me, always with me, Tiny Savior in my hand.
